OUR FAITH FOCUS

HIS 43:19 Homeschool Adventures is a Christ-centered homeschool group. As believers in Jesus Christ, our faith is entwined in our everyday activities. Our belief in the work of God through Jesus Christ drives and informs all that we do. We recognize that we may not agree on every single detail of the Christian faith, and therefore choose to focus on the essential aspects that unite us. As a group, our focus is rooted in the absolute truth and accuracy of the Bible (inspired, infallible and inerrant in its original writing), the acceptance of Jesus Christ as the one true Savior, and the surrender of our lives as committed followers of Christ. We seek to love and serve all whom the Lord brings to our group, being the salt and light Jesus calls us to be. As a group, we seek that the Lord would order our steps and that His perfect will be accomplished in all we do (Prov. 19:21). The following are the core beliefs we ascribe to as we seek to honor the Lord and grow together in godly fellowship:

Devotion to the Lord

We are committed to pursuing and growing in relationship with Him as we educate our children and grow in the truth and beauty of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We recognize our need for Him and accept the forgiveness and grace offered through His sacrifice on the cross and celebrate relationship with Him and eternal life because of His resurrection from the dead.

(Isaiah 44:6; Isaiah 45:5; Genesis 1:1; John 1:1-3; John 3:16; John 1:14; 1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-11; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Luke 1:27-35; Matthew 1:18-23; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 23:23-53; 1 Corinthians 15:3-6; Mark 16:19; Luke 24:1-53; Acts 1:11; Hebrews 1:1-4; John 15:26; John 16:7-8; John 16:13-14; 1 John 1:9)

Devotion to the Word

We hold fast to the truth of the Bible as the only inspired and infallible Word of God. We recognize it as fully authoritative, and draw from it knowledge to lead our children toward personal relationship with the Lord, as well as allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to us and shape our mindsets, attitudes and actions to become more Christ-like.

(II Timothy 2:15; II Timothy 3:16; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26; II Peter 1:19-21; Deut. 6:5-9)

Devotion to Each Other

Community can be hard and messy, but God designed us for relationship! We are committed to growing and learning together, honoring one another as image-bearers of the Father, following the Lord’s command to not forsake the fellowship of believers as the body of Christ. We are better together and offer one another strength and accountability on these journeys of faith in Christ and homeschooling. We also recognize the importance of our commitment to unity and are thankful for the Lord’s presence and work in our midst, when we choose to set aside our differences and come together in Him.

(Ephesians 2:10-22; Galatians 3:26-29; Hebrews 10:23-25; Galatians 6:2; Ephesians 4:1-6; Ephesians 4:11-16)

Faith in Action

HIS 43:19 Homeschool Adventures also deeply understands that in order to become more like Christ, obedience to His call to serve the less fortunate around us is key (James 1:27; James 2:14-17). Therefore, we actively seek out opportunities to serve our local and greater communities in order to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the world. It is important to give our children windows into the world around them, teaching them that the Kingdom of God goes far beyond their local church. There is a world full of people who have never heard the gospel and our children can start sharing Jesus’ love with others no matter how small they may be.

(Isaiah 1:17; Matthew 5:16; Galatians 5:13–14; Proverbs 14:31; Matthew 25:40; Mark 10:45)
